Pink Floyd: June 12, 1975

Lead guitarist David Gilmore performs at the Spectrum during Pink Floyd’s Spring Tour of 1975. . The band walked to the stage unaccompanied by anyone. David Gilmore, Roger Waters (bass) and Richard Wright (keyboards) were the ones to descend the backstage ramp, leading to the stage. Drummer, Nick Mason, was alone.

While I was taking pictures, Mike Kennedy (changeover crew member) extended his arm, hoping to shake hands with the drummer of his favorite band. Mason ignored him. I captured the image of Kennedy’s extended hand and embarrassed expression as Mason stares straight into my camera.

Later that night, during the move-out, a roadie off a sixteen-foot, A-frame ladder while dismantling a lighting truss. He was taken to Methodist Hospital.
