Ray Davies and The Kinks: The Spectrum (April 21, 1975)

The Kinks played their entire new album “Soap Opera” at The Spectrum Theater on this night. In this photo, Davies assumes the persona of Norman, a typical 9 to 5 office worker whose mundane everyday life Davies explores in song and lyrics. Earlier in the evening, I grabbed a couple of backstage of shots of Davies. Toward the end of the show, Davies performed many of the Kinks’ greatest hits.
